The village Board authorized by 36 725 purchase of 650 vandal resistant and theft proof meters from Koontz Equipment Corp of Pittsburgh at 61 50 each with a 5 trade in credit. Install by June first using two meters per post. Police will oversee cash boxes that deposit into locked containers. Mayor predicts higher parking revenue.

Dance Teacher Miss Caroline Covington Dies in Scarsdale
Caroline Covington, famed founder of Miss Covington's Dance Classes and Jr Bachelors, died in her eighties at her New York home. She educated generations in ballroom dancing and social grace from the 1920s, known for her “clicker” and satin slippers, with mourning plans for a memorial fund at Salem College.
