Jacob Ackerman and Mrs Edwin A de Lima are nominated for the School District 2 Board of Education in Scarsdale. Ackerman seeks a one year term, de Lima a three year term. election at the district meeting in May. Ackerman, a builder in Scarsdale, has served on the board and supported its work. De Lima is active in local groups and chairs the District 2 Planning Committee supporting educational problems.

March Weather Report for Scarsdale and Surrounding Area
March weather in Scarsdale showed temperatures 19.8 degrees above normal with 1.11 inches more precipitation than average. Readings were taken daily at 4:30 PM from the Popham Road firehouse by John J. Kappes of the Village Engineering Department. Normal March temp is 38.1 with a high of 47.9 and low of 29.5. The thermometer hit 61 on two days and dropped to 16 at the low. The all time high since 1944 stood at 88 on March 29, 1945, and the low at zero on March 6, 1948. Normal precipitation is 3.78 inches. April began with a 68 to 39 spread on Tuesday.
