The Moe family thanks volunteers who helped extinguish the farm fire on March 23. Proverne L. Nondorf donates $5 in memory of Roy B. Nondorf to the museum building fund. Robison treasurer notes. Mrs. Warren Johnson expresses thanks for flowers, cards, and support during illness.

Blanche Lorene Davis of Republic County died March 18 1963 at Belleville hospital aged 65. Born January 8 1898 in Pulaski County Missouri she lived in Freedom Township and Scandia then ran restaurants in Scandia and Belleville. She married Frank Mahan December 29 1915 producing two daughters and a son Rex Mahan. Survived by husband two daughters son mother 11 grandchildren five great grandchildren three sisters one brother and many relatives. Memorial services were held March 20 at Tibbetts Funeral Home with interment Union Valley cemetery.
Kansas juvenile judges Malcolm Copeland Topeka Charles Rankin Lawrence E Victor Wilson Hutchinson Herb Walton Clathe and guests at the Jack Davis home discussed tearing down walls separating humans during a recent National Institute for Juvenile Court Judges seminar at the University of Oklahoma. The session emphasized examining self through others eyes and affirmed its value for bench work and personal growth.
Keith Cady and Becky were Sunday dinner guests of Mr and Mrs John Cady. Evening guests were Mr and Mrs Gerald Cady and family of Beloit. Mr and Mrs Harold Melhus and boys and Mrs Agnes Cardwell were Sunday evening supper guests of Mr and Mrs Charley Cardwell. Mr and Mrs Jerry Straad were Sunday dinner guests of Mr and Mrs Wm Clark.
A sequence of visits and dinners ties together families from St. Paul Topeka Lindsborg Salina Belleville Mankato Wichita Republic Beloit Formoso and Formoso area. Various couples and children shared meals and evenings with relatives including Currie Freeds Robisons Berggrens and Johnsons.
Seven airplanes visited Scandia Airport on Sunday traveling from locations across Kansas. The arrival highlighted regional aviation activity and drew local attention to the facility’s operations.
