Nation Store Manager Dies After Washington Car Crash

James Nation store manager and part owner died from injuries after a two car wreck north of Washington on Monday. His wife is seriously hurt and was moved to hospitals in Washington and Fairbury. The couple was en route to a family dinner in their Buick sedan when the car rolled three times. Harry Frager and Fred Salzer found them. Nation died at 2 pm. Haddam Clipper Leader reports the incident.

Blosser Airport Joins Brower Air Service To Concor dia

Charles Blosser owner of Blosser Airport near Concor dia receives notice that Brower Air Service will start regular passenger service to Concor dia this week. Brower runs Omaha to Oklahoma City flights with Belleville as nearest stop and schedules planes to Arrive Blosser at 12 25 p m and depart north at 1 10 p m. They ordered three six place Stinson planes with mail compartments and seek an airmail contract for the route.

Car Crash Near Glen Elder Injures Two People

Report from the Glen Elder Sentinel describes a severe automobile accident at Brokaw Corner northwest of Glen Elder. The driver lost control and crashed into a field, injuring Miss Skull with a fractured jaw and facial injuries and Melvin with a broken collar bone and facial bruises.

Wreck Near Bennington Harms Bourne Family Residents

Beula Bourne, 27, of Kansas City, dies after a collision on Highway 18 six miles east of Bennington. Her fiance Forrest Johnson, 39, is paralyzed with a broken back in Salina hospital, and Roscie Bourne, her brother, suffers a broken left shoulder. All victims were Kansas City residents. Bourne had worked for H. D. Lee Flour Mills in Salina before moving to Kansas City.

Blanchette Divorce Hearing Orders Temporary Alimony

In Marysville district court Henry Blanchette was ordered to pay Maggie Blanchette $30 monthly as temporary alimony and $150 in attorney fees to her lawyers. The ruling followed questioning of Maggie Blanchette by her sister Mrs. Johhn Ruple of Topeka and Mr. Ruple, with whom she has been staying.

In Washington county a jury failed to reach a verdict in the assault with intent to kill case against Blanchette. His suit charges his wife lied under oath and seeks a divorce. After ten years of leadership the owners announce a step down and Glenn B. Hale of Formosa takes over as partner.
