A. J. Hollenbeck died Friday April 10 at his daughter Mrs Rice Altman's home in Big Bend township. The funeral was held Sunday with interment in Rosemound cemetery. A Civil War veteran and longtime Scandia pioneer who homesteaded near Courtland in 1870, he lived years on a farm north of town and later in town. He leaves a wife several children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He Was a member of the United Brethren church.
