A flurry of birthday anniversaries fills the week with gatherings. Families including Melhus Cardwell Lindecrantz Hugos and Forsberg join friends in Belleville Topeka Manhattan and Hebron for cake ice cream and well wishes.
Mr and Mrs Holy Cady of Scotts vill spent Thursday afternoon with Mr and Mrs Lars Hanson.
Mrs Kenneth Cardwell and children opened Thursday afternoon with Mrs Lester Thompson and Pat. Mrs Darrell Morehead and children from Fairbury Nebr joined. Mr and Mrs Max Thompson and family and Mr and Mrs Harvey Melby visited. Sunday dinner guests were Mr and Mrs Lester Thompson and Pat. George Stromberg and Mr and Mrs Leslie Cady with daughters joined Floyd Johnson family for Sunday evening.
SP four Kenneth Wagner departed March 24 for a military assignment in Germany. Mrs Wagner remains with her parents Mr and Mrs Edward Foreberg along with Kenny and Denise.

Mr and Mrs Gerry Thompson announce the birth of a daughter Kristy Jolene on March 25 at Republic County hospital. Grandparents are Mr and Mrs Andy Thompson of Courtland and Mr and Mrs Arthur Goodwin with great grandparents Mrs Alta Goodwin of Belleville and Mr and Mrs L C Mulkey of Phillipsburg. Teena Marie born March 26 to Mr and Mrs Gary Keeling of Courtland. Grandparents include Mr and Mrs Omer Olsen of Scandia and Mr and Mrs A P Keeling of Courtland. Guests at Byron Nebraska included Mr and Mrs Edward Forberg Kenneth Denise and Mrs Ken Wagner. Visitors to the Fodlin and Thompson homes and other local families over the weekend.

Mr and Mrs Charles Klima and Bradley were Sunday dinner guests of Mr and Mrs Frank Tresek of Cuba City. James Saylor Superior Wis Eugene Johnson St Louis Mo. Mrs Floyd Johnson and Bob and Mrs Bill Clark were Friday afternoon guests of Mr and Mrs Leslie Cady and girl. Clarence Strom were Sunday evening supper guests of Mr and Mrs Billy Tipton and family of Chester Nebr. They attended the open house for Mr and Mrs Earl Kelly Sunday afternoon in Belleville. Mrs Bertha Christie was a Sunday afternoon coffee guest at the Lloyd Kelly home. Mr and Mrs Kenneth Cardwell and family and Mrs Harold Melhus and boys were Sunday afternoon lunch guests at the Todd Cardwell home.
