County Divides Into School Districts in Sarasota County
The Sarasota County Board of Public Instruction completed the organization of the new county school system at its last meeting. Districts are formed by precincts with District 1 covering precincts 1 and 2, District 2 precincts 2 4 and 5, and District 3 precincts 6 7 8 and 9. Budget gains and transportation plans hinge on property valuation changes and tax book acceptance by county commissioners. Prof E D Holmes Speaks to Osprey Mothers Club
Miss Heywood organized a Mothers Club in Osprey and invited guests including Prof E D Holmes of Albany New York. The Dec 21 meeting at the Osprey church heard a report on community needs and a fundraiser that netted 63 dollars for a new encyclopedia. Holmes discussed Americanization work in New York and received warm thanks and a request to return.

C A French Returns to Enter Business Here
Friends announce that C A French and family return to Sarasota and will stay here. He has leased the building vacated by the Sarasota Sales Company on Ninth Street to run a garage for storage and auto repair. The new fireproof concrete garage spans 10 000 square feet with 5000 storage, 2500 stock and 2500 shop space. The Manasota Development Company opens local offices in a new summer building with Hayes in charge. Sarasota Chamber Board Plans Local Entertainment Meeting
At a Sarasota County Chamber of Commerce semi monthly meeting at Belle Haven Inn the board approved a two night Braden Town performance by Cola Santo Symphonic Band sharing 70 percent of receipts with the chamber 30 percent to the chamber for funds and lighting. The plan aims to entertain visitors with two high quality concerts while not endorsing the venture for profit. The group will raise funds to cover thirty performers and volunteers will collect donations. The board also discussed traffic safety on Main Street and Orange Avenue near the school, the need to enforce the speed ordinance and children riding with parents, and considered posting road signs from Sarasota to Boston though financing is pending. The importance of rebuilding the city pier was emphasized with calls to replace the pavillion soon. Continued in Page Four.

Cola-Santo Grand Opera Company and Concert Band will perform at Five Points in Sarasota on Thursday and Friday evenings for the Chamber of Commerce fund. Admission is not charged. attendees pay what they feel, proceeds shared by the band and chamber. The group recently played in Tampa and Bradenton and is praised by the press for its concerts.

Senator Tram mells new farm loan measures reported
Washington December 24 Senator Park Trammell introduced two bills of importance. One creates an added fifty million dollar annual loan fund for farmers via Federal Land Banks. The other extends the War Finance Corporation authority to aid farmers and cattlemen through banks to July 1 1923, continuing support beyond 1922. Florida citrus and cattle industries have benefited from prior WAS Finance Corporation advances, and extension is expected to bring further aid.

City Council Seeks Fewer Parkway Filling Stations
