Priest Lake cafe and shed burn in weekend fire
Forest Service spokesman said the Priest Lake Cafe building and a nearby shed were destroyed by a fire Saturday night. Carl Worthen and another man responded with a 300 gallon tank, arriving around 8:55 p.m. but could not save the structure. Mutilation of Steer Reported in Idaho Countryside
Nez Perce County sheriff's Sgt. Don Whittinger reported a de sexed and mutilated yearling steer found at the head of Big Canyon south of Peck. He suspects devil worshipers. this is the third such case in three weeks, with two cows similarly mutilated about 40 miles south of Lewiston earlier this month.
Two Injured In Vehicle Rollover Near Sandpoint
Two 16 year old girls, Linda Parsons and Stephanie Hoyt, were injured when a car rolled over twice on Rapid Lightning Creek Rd just east of Northside School. Parsons, the driver, suffered a back injury. Hoyt dislocated her hip. Four other passengers were shaken but unharmed. Both teens were listed as doing well at Bonner General Hospital.

Weekend thefts prompt police and sheriff investigations
