Chamber Directors to Vote on Tourist Information Center
The Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce faces a Tuesday vote by its Board of Directors to commit to building a tourist information center at the north city limits along U S Highway 95. The project budget runs under 14 000 with about 5 000 already on hand, and Architects West of Sandpoint prepared the plan.

Two 14 year old Sandpoint boys face charges over a September 3 Union Pacific derailment after a switch was left partially open near the north city limits. A 13 year old Kootenai youth will be charged for a September 10 bomb threat at Stidwell Junior High School.
