Sandpoint Youth Arrested On Drug Selling Charge

A 16 year old Sandpoint youth was arrested Sunday afternoon on charges of selling and possessing a dangerous drug. The arrest followed an intensive Sheriff's Office probe into a teen drug sale network at local high and junior high schools. Capsules were seized and sent for chemical analysis to identify the drug. The case may lead to further arrests in Bonner County.

PTA Workshop Set In CdA For Northern Idaho Units

The newly elected PTA District 1 president Mrs. Remar Howell of Pinehurst Idaho calls a Training Session Workshop for newly elected PTA unit officers teachers and parents. Older Persons Forum Planned in Bonner County

Three forums for older persons will be held in Bonner County the week of September 21 with events in Sandpoint and Clark Fork Hope. The Sandpoint forum on September 24 at 1 30 p m will be in the United Methodist Social Hall chaired by Mrs Helen Williams with committees for hosts transportation and refreshments. The agenda includes use of the White House Conference on Aging questionnaire a Q and A with agency representatives small group speak outs and reports with voting on priorities. A forum is also set for Friday September 25 at 3 p m in Hope City Hall for Clark Fork Hope area residents.

Commissioner Attends Portland Forum for Public Land Review

Bonner County Commissioner Jim Brockway traveled to Portland Oregon to represent Idaho at the National Discussion Forum September 21 to 23. As president of the Interstate Association of Public Land Counties he noted the forum will review Public Land Review Commission recommendations and is expected to return September 24.
