Plane Crashes In Brazil After Takeoff From Santos Dumont
A Brazilian Wasp turboprop with 56 aboard including eight Indiana trade mission members crashed in Guanabara Bay after departing Santos Dumont airport. Early reports say at least five killed while the U S consulate regards eight Americans aboard as saved but accounts for six. Fifteen injured including the pilot were hospitalized. The plane flew between Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte.
