Rescue crews worked through the night to reach Francis Murinko 35 trapped by a rockburst at the Lucky Friday Mine in Idaho's panhandle. His brother Michael 31 was injured and hospitalized in satisfactory condition after escaping the 2500 foot level.

Two Hunters Stranded Overnight On Grouse Creek
Bonner County Sheriff Robert Wilcox reports two hunters Bill Moore from Ponderay and Léonard Bray of Sandpoint were stranded in a stuck vehicle on Grouse Creek Tuesday. Early today Wilcox and Chief Deputy Howard Scott found one hunter with Alfred Krebs in a four wheel drive en route to free the vehicle. The men said they built a fire to stay warm. one hiked to get help while the other remained with the vehicle.
