Two-Vehicle Crash Causes Damages on First Ave Near Main
A Tuesday afternoon collision on First Ave near Main Street left a 1977 Ford driven by Kelly E. Gardner 17 Sandpoint with 500 dollars in damage and a 1977 Chevrolet driven by Diane L. Belwood 239 Sandpoint with 50 dollars in damage. Belwood swerved to avoid a parking car and struck Gardner while both were southbound in adjacent lanes.

Preliminary hearing held for three Priest River suspects
A preliminary hearing for Michael J. Venovichy, 25, Timothy Pinkney, 21, and Harry White, 21, charged with assault with intent to murder a Bonner County deputy was held Tuesday before Magistrate Judge Donald Swanstrom. The defendants were bound over to District Court with a court date set. Venovichy posted a 5000 property bond, the others remain jailed on 25000 bonds. The shooting occurred Sept 20 on Dufort Road near Priest River as Deputy Douglas Bradbury responded to a reported accident.
