Bonner General LPN Graduation Honors Five Graduates

Area Students Take Statewide Proficiency Achievement Tests

Fourth graders from Priest River and eighth graders at Stidwell Junior High joined a statewide sample for a data gathering test on proposed graduation proficiency exams in Idaho. Samples were randomly selected from over 50 districts to reflect geographic and district diversity.

Health Officials Seek Cigarette Tax Boost in Idaho

Idaho health officials propose a 0.9 cent increase in the cigarette tax to 10 cents per pack to fund cancer treatment and prevention with 450000 dollars set for that program and the rest to the general fund. The Idaho Hospital Association opposed the plan saying cancer funds were not in the general fund budget.
