Four Die As Idaho Weekend Traffic Toll Rises
Weekend traffic crashes in Idaho killed four people and left another injured in critical condition, lifting the death toll to 259. Victims include Robert Iricsson 24 American Falls Joyce Crockett 29 Boise Ronald Johnston 21 Behl and Nancy Taylor 19 McCall. Joanne Pronson 34 Seattle remained in critical condition at St. Alphonsus Beise hospital.

Sandpoint Library marks 25th Record Collection anniversary
The Sandpoint Public Library celebrated 25 years of its Record Collection on Friday Oct 6 noting it was Idaho’s first such collection. Established in memory of Lawrence Brown who died in 1947, the 700-record archive is funded by donations memorial gifts and a $100 yearly budget and includes The Classics Broadway Musicals and more.

Greyhound Bus Robber Sought
A warrant was issued in Everett for Bobby Scarface Smith 22 25 for armed robbery and first degree kidnapping in a Jesse James style Greyhound bus holdup near Everett Washington. Two robbers boarded in Seattle Friday night and forced the driver to a side road. Passengers hid money and jewelry to foil the bandits as about 2500 dollars was taken. Five youths already jailed in connection with the Everett crime.

Publisher Ginzburg to be Paroled from Federal Prison
Ralph Ginzburg a 42 year old publisher will be paroled from Allenwood Prison Farm after serving eight months of a three year sentence for sending obscene material through the mail. His wife Shoshanna 34 disclosed the impending release in New York City. The parole follows a 1963 conviction and a failed Supreme Court appeal.
