Priest River considers city sewage system upgrade
The Priest River city council discussed converting the sewage disposal system with data and cost estimates still being collected and no start date or contractor chosen. A secondary treatment phase is needed to meet state regulations. Ruth Treat reported on a Boise clerks’ meeting held Nov 5 6. The new court reform starting Jan 1971 abolishes all local justice, municipal and probate courts with duties shifted to Margaret Burns' Magistrate's Court in Sandpoint.

Music Event Goes Tonight at Sandpoint Junior High
The MJCA Cappella Choir performs tonight at 7 30 in the Sandpoint Junior High School auditorium under the Sandpoint Civic Club. The family program features classical and semi contemporary music with Cardinal Chorale adding pop and ballad numbers. Director Kenneth Hodgson, formerly of St Olaf Choir, donates services and proceeds go to the Sandpoint Junior High School Chorus. Tickets are 25 cents for adults.

Equipment Bad Driver Cited After Youth Crash
Idaho trooper reports a homemade front end on a car caused a Ponderay youth to lose control and crash into a rock wall near East Hope. Driver George H. Roderick, 18, says the failed front suspension made the vehicle uncontrollable. Passengers Dick Inman, 22, and John Weizé, 20, were unharmed. Roderick was cited for operating a vehicle with improper equipment.
