Fire destroys Berg home in Priest River
An early morning fire gutted the Berg residence on Albert Highway in Priest River. Neighbors reported seeing flames engulf the frame house within seconds, trapping three children who escaped by jumping from windows. Police suspect faulty wiring though the cause remains undetermined. The Berg family survived with only a few salvaged belongings and began searching for a new home.
