Slick roads trigger string of accidents across Kootenai County
Less than an inch of snow and freezing overnight left roads slick in Sandpoint and surrounding areas. A major crash near Garfield Bay involved a truck and car and required two wreckers. In Colburn area two to three accidents occurred on Highway 95 and overpass. a Forest Service vehicle over the overpass slid toward guardrails. Minor collisions included a four vehicle crash on Highway 95 near the Chamber of Commerce, a two car crash at Division and Spruce, a jeep in a ditch on the Dover highway, and a van off Highway 200 in Kootenai.

Two Die On Slick Roads In Spokane Area Crashes
In Spokane region two traffic deaths occurred over the weekend. Clay Kincaid 17 of Deer Park died when his eastbound pickup slid on black ice, plunged off an embankment and struck a tree. passenger Catherine Brigsby 17 Colville suffered a fractured arm head injuries and shock after being pinned. The second victim, Jack Brown 33 Spirit Lake Idaho, also died in a separate crash.

Idaho medical examiner plan gains governor backing
