V A Hospital Plans Outlined in Boise
The administrator of veterans affairs outlined a 4.071 million modernization and building program for the Boise VA Hospital. A new building would add 180 beds for general medical and psychiatric care, 35 nursing home beds, plus coronary care, operating room, and intestinal care facilities. Groundbreaking was slated for 1972 with completion by July 1974.

State Receives Sperry Rand Notice Over 494 Computer Contract
Boise Idaho UPI reports Sperry Rand notified the state it expects action to honor a contract to buy a 494 computer from its Univac Division. Deputy Attorney General Clarence Suiter says the state plans legal action over the contract not processed via the state purchasing agent and notes Sperry Rand’s bid was the third lowest, about 600000 above the lowest. Sperry Rand telegram says it will not acquiesce to cancellation and will send a fuller reply by mail.
