Sunshine Mining to Build 3 Million Dollar Silver Refinery
Sunshine Mining Co will begin construction of a 3 million dollar silver refinery near its mine site next Wednesday. Vice president Marvin C. Chase says the plant, planned for two years with a pilot test last year, will reduce smelting costs which rose 50 percent over last year and will give the company full revenue returns by processing its ore in house instead of sending it to the Anaconda refinery in East Helena Montana.
