Idaho Highways Earn Premium Dividend for 1970

The Idaho Department of Highways received a 43 387 premium dividend on its Workmans Compensation insurance for 1970 based on favorable accident experience. It covers 1450 employees and equals about 35 percent of the department year premium. The check was presented by A C Hartley of the State Insurance Fund. WSU Professor to Receive Honorary Degree in Rock Island

Pullman geochronologist Dr. Roald Fryxell, famed for identifying the Marmes Mall skull remains in southeastern Washington, will receive an honorary Doctor of Science from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, at the May 28 commencement. Fryxell’s work spans Washington State University Laboratory of Anthropology and projects across the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, Canada, Hawaii, France and Spain.

Idaho Women’s Commission Pushes Jail Inspections and Equal Rights Reform

The Idaho Commission on Women's Programs urged unannounced jail inspections by the Department of Health after a Boise meeting. They extend task forces on migrant housing and finance discrimination, propose equal property rights, wage studies, and reproductive autonomy, and plan to deliver a fall report to the Governor and Legislature.
