Christine Stogner pleaded guilty to petty larceny and received three months in county jail suspended and six months unsupervised probation. Robert Callen pleaded guilty to DUI and fined 100 dollars due by May 17 with 60 days in jail, suspended on condition of completing a driver rehabilitation course in Coeur d'Alene.

Fire damages Kamloops Klub causing extensive loss
A late night blaze at the Kamloops Klub on First Street damaged the rear and front of the building. Sandpoint Fire Chief Wade Brown estimates 10 000 to 15 000 dollars in damages with investigation by Brown and Police Chief George Elliot. Club owner Stevie Raser said she was alerted around 1 30 by Mrs Mae Bobich and noted smoke circulated through the main room via the air conditioning system. Firefighters broke a front window to vent smoke, electrical system is totaled, and remodeling is needed. Raser hopes to reopen in about a month.
