Man files Writ to stop sheriff from keeping drugs in courthouse
John V. Strode of Westmond filed a Writ of Mandamus charging Sheriff Wilcox kept controlled substances in an open unlocked storage area of the courthouse basement. A hearing is set for May 29 at 2 30 p m. Prosecutor Weiss said the case is under investigation.

Subcommittee approves Hells Canyon protection bill with amendment
