Schweitzer Ski Exhibit to Open at Expo 74 in Spokane

Schweitzer Ski Basin will unveil a 690 square foot exhibit at Expo 74 in Spokane. Area manager Sam Wormington says four Technicolor projects will run simultaneously to showcase Schweitzer with floor to ceiling vinyl panels and open theatre-like space. The display runs 10 am to 10 pm for 180 days and includes attendants and brochures.

Merchants Discuss License to Curb Fly By Night Businesses

The Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce Merchants Committee voted to survey business leaders on a proposed business and occupation license aimed at stopping illicit operations. City Clerk Dave Easton called the plan a tool for control rather than revenue and noted it would be a nominal one-time fee. The group also covered K and K Days plans with a traveling trophy for best window displays and red hat or fishing attire for employees, with judges kept private and spot checks planned. IFG Commission To Meet Here In April Sessions

Idaho Fish and Game will discuss regional projects in a joint session with Bonner County Sportsmen and the Commercial Fishermen Assoc. on April 19. The regular quarterly meeting in Coeur dAlene will be held April 17 at 2320 Government Way from 3 to 5 p.m. with public testimony on wildlife preservation and management.

Effective April 1 1974 the Bonner County Drivers License bureau will operate six days a week Monday through Saturday 9 am to 5 pm Deputies Nora Kohler and Marilyn Moline administer licenses The change aims to offer better convenient service according to Sheriff Robert Wilcox The office has already begun staying open through lunch hours to expand service.
