Thief Loots Welfare Office At Sandpoint Seventh Day Adventist
A thief forced a door at the Welfare Section of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Sandpoint Sunday night and burglarized the office. Quilts, canned goods, and other small items were taken. The break-in was found by Pastor Schulze and is under police investigation.

Arthur Ward Carothers 77 died Monday in a Spokane hospital. Born April 16 1893 in Oregon City Oregon he lived in Bonner County since 1919 farming at Sagle and later running a Mirror Lake resort. Survived by wife Laura M Eldred two sons Art Orient WA Andy Renton WA a daughter Margaret five grandchildren and a brother Clark Yakima. Funeral Friday June 19 at 2:00 p.m. Moon Chapel with Rev Gerald Schultze and V A Verher assisting. Interment Pinecrest Memorial Park.
