Fires Reported Near Wrenco After Thunderstorms
Public Lands fire office reported two fires on Wednesday with two heavy thundershowers likely extinguishe d one. An airplane pilot saw a timber fire on a mountain northwest of Wrenco about 6 p.m. Fire marshal Willis Jordan said thunderstorms possibly put out the other. crews could not locate the blaze upon arrival.

Logging truck pulls power line from Discount Gas building
An unidentified logging truck pulled a 120 volt service wire from the Discount Gas building on U.S. 95 north of Sandpoint around 12:50 p.m. Wednesday as it pulled out of the station. Pacific Power and Light manager Dale Addington said the damage was insignificant.
