Drowning at City Beach Claims 18 Year Old Life

LeoP Belgarde 18 drowned Tuesday at City Beach while swimming with friends near docks by the boat ramps. Assistant Chief Geenen retrieved him, CPR was performed but he died at Bonner General Hospital. Police investigate cause.

Sandpoint Juveniles Charged In May Tire Slashing

Sandpoint police filed charges in district court against three male juveniles ages 15 16 and 17 in connection with May 15 tire slashings. Eyewitness accounts helped identify suspects and total damage was estimated at about 3000 dollars including tires and broken radio antennas. The court will notify the youths of their appearance to face charges.

E C Tenny of Sagle reported to the sheriff's office Tuesday morning that his vehicle rolled on Garfield Bay Road around 10 pm Monday. Tenny said there was no damage to his vehicle.
