A Vietnam veteran on trial for mercenary activities in Angola alleged the CIA financed and supplied weapons to the American mercenaries. Gustavo Grillo testified he saw CIA money and U.S. military gear, and suspected CIA agents in northern Angola as the court heard his cross examination. He blamed the American system for luring him and described American society as a monster while revealing his status as a naturalized American who now identifies as Argentine.
