Idaho revamps Expo 74 exhibit after governor order
Gov. Cecil Andrus ordered a major redesign of Idaho's Expo 74 display in Spokane after widespread visitor criticism. The revamped exhibit adds live trees and plants, sculptures including The Eagle, photographs, a 77-pound silver bar from Bunker Hill, a 10 to 15 minute slide show, and new hostesses.

Randy Wilcox Crowned Sandpoint Rodeo Queen
Randy Wilcox, a Sandpoint High School graduate, was named the first Sandpoint rodeo queen at a dinner-dance at the Elks Club. The 18 year old begins her reign with a Deer Park Rodeo appearance and will tour the Northwest promoting the Panhandle Rodeo Association event set for September. Carolyn Monroe and Carolyn Bonser finished as first and second runners up among contestants.

Three traffic incidents are reported. James R. Lake 19 escaped serious injury when his car rolled over after leaving Luby Bay Road near Highway 57. Frank M. Inman suffered a concussion and broken shoulder at Trestle Creek sand pits. James L. Gunter's truck brake failure caused a collision with Marion D Meek. no injuries reported.

Election Filing Ends with Several Unopposed Races
The 1974 Primary Election filings show three incumbents running unopposed, Doris L Kenney and Alice M Nelson both Republicans for county clerk and treasurer, and Daniel P Featherston a Republican for prosecuting attorney. Five seek county assessor, two Republicans Delamarter and Balch from Sandpoint and three Democrats Benda Yerkes Klatt all from Sandpoint. District 2 commissioner Harold Anselmo, an incumbent Republican, faces Democrat Myron Watts. District 3 draws seven Democrats and three Republicans for commissioner, with several Sandpoint candidates including Maurice Griggs Henry Samuels Cecil Knowles Ernest Jeffres Kenneth Holt Robert Wooden James Osman and Dwight Crowell.

Trio Charged With Possession In County
Three county residents were arrested on possession charges Friday. Timothy A Tope age 21 from Careywood Lawrence R Peak 18 of Sandpoint and Michael L Taylor 21 of Careywood posted 100 bond each to be released Saturday. An unrelated case involved Arthur L Pass of Priest River charged last weekend with possession and a big game violation. He bonded 300 on the possession charge and 35 on the game violation.
