Arson Suspected In Multiple Sandpoint Weekend Fires
Two weekend fires in Sandpoint are under investigation after a blaze gutted the west wing of the old Bonner County Fairgrounds reportedly used by Boy Scouts for storage. Firefighters battled the Friday fire for about two hours. Arson is not ruled out. Additional shed fires on rental property at 603 Cedar and 924 Ruth are being investigated, along with a grass fire at Schweitzer Railroad Crossing. No injuries reported.

Youth Charged With Armed Robbery in Spirit Lake
A 17 year old juvenile is in custody in Dunsmire Calif on charges tied to the armed robbery of Mr and Mrs Jack Laird near Spirit Lake. The couple were robbed of 400 dollars by a youth armed with a 30.06 rifle and a shotgun. Deputies and state patrol searched for the suspect who was arrested early today at a Dun smire motel.

Woman Dies In Mishap Near Priest River
A 28 year old Smelterville woman was killed Saturday when the automobile she rode in left Peninsula Road near Priest River and rolled over. Her 10 year old daughter Anna L Rodgers was seriously injured and is recovering in a Spokane hospital.
