County maintenance shop plan at fairgrounds faces opposition
Commissioner Henry Samuels proposed a 212000 maintenance shop at the Baldy Road fairgrounds, funded in part by an EDA grant. Citizens opposed moving the site, citing recreation use and space needs for horse shows and events. Anselmo urged relocating to Baldy Road while Brockway is away, as groups including Saddle Club and Lions Club also objected to the site.

The horses disperse toward private lands and may not resume trapping until late this week depending on weather. Thirty seven horses already trapped were moved to Rock Springs Wyoming for adoption under the Adopt A Horse program.
