Funeral held Saturday at Moon Chapel Sandpoint with interment at Pinecrest Memorial Park Sandpoint.

Hanns Christian Hess died July 16 1971 at age 97. Born August 9 1873 in Bergen Norway he went to Alaska in 1898 for the Gold Rush and later farmed in Tacoma Washington. He retired six years ago to Sandpoint and was a Lutheran, survived by two sons Leslie and Robert Hess five grandchildren and three great.
