Suits Dismissed Against 2 Idaho Banks
U S District Judge Fred M. Taylor dismissed lawsuits against Idaho First National and Idaho First Security Banks. The actions, filed in 1969 by former Attorney General Robert M. Swim Fatal To Exchange Student Here
The body of a 20 year old ex change student from Jordan is recovered from a pond near Kellogg Idaho. Awadalah Jaber was last seen Wednesday morning and likely drowned while swimming in the pond. A passerby found the body and helped bring it to shore as investigators review the University of Idaho project work by foreign exchange students in the area.

Two Sandpoint Law Offices Padlocked by IRS
The Internal Revenue Service padlocked two Sandpoint law offices for non payment of federal taxes. Lyons and Hofmeister and Green and Hunt were sealed with seizure notices attached. Lyons and Hofmeister offices opened at 9 a.m. attorney James Hunt said past due taxes had been deposited for the partners in a Sandpoint bank but no levy occurred.

Accident Claims Elmira Woman in Train Car Wreck
An Elmira woman Nellie Jensen 63 died after a two week battle at Sacred Heart Hospital following a train car wreck on June 28 her husband Andrew L Jensen 77 was killed. The collision occurred when the car driven by Jensen was struck by a Burlington Northern freight at a county road crossroad near U S 95 north of Sandpoint. Moon's Funeral Home is handling final arrangements.
