Westwood Incorporated suit over promissory note and stock contract
Martha Wyatt of Sandpoint sues Westwood Incorporated owner of Pend Oreille River condominiums claiming a $40,000 promissory note dated April 12 1973 was partly paid with $20,000 and seeks the remaining balance with interest, costs and attorney fees. In a separate action William W. and Bethene R. Wyatt allege a contract with William L. and Matiene E. Zimmerman to sell 49.5 shares of Westwood stock for 200000 with $50,000 due in January 1977 but only $20,000 paid and seek $160000 balance plus costs.

Idaho four major institutions asked the State Board of Education for nearly 5 million dollars in general fund money for Fiscal 1979 and proposed higher fees. The University of Idaho led requests with 2,161,700 dollars, Boise State near 1,469,900, Idaho State 726,300, and Lewis Clark State College 554,800. Boise State proposed several increases including summer session to 25 per credit hour, part time to 25 per credit hour per semester, non resident to 600 per semester, and continuing education to 25 per credit hour per semester. Idaho State and others also sought higher part time, non resident, and continuing education fees.

4-H Builders Earn Rural Rehab Grant for Playground Project
Bonner County 4-H Builders Club received a 100 dollar Rural Rehabilitation Grant from the Idaho Department of Agriculture to finish a Community Pride project at the County Fairgrounds. The effort, in cooperation with the Fair Board and teen leaders' parents, will add a drinking fountain barbecue swings sandbox shade trees and flowers to a new playground for local children.

Pee Cars Rear Ended At M and J Lot Incident
Two rear end crashes within 30 minutes occurred near the M and J grocery parking on 5th Avenue. Bruce H. Hoffman, 39, Sandpoint, allegedly hit Susan J. Sweeney, 20, Sandpoint as she turned into the lot causing about 250 in damage. Jack H. Brooks Jr., 17, Samuels, allegedly struck Gary A. Elvester, 25, Sandpoint, with about 350 damage to Elvester and 200 to Brooks. Both drivers cited.

Naples man arrested for reckless driving after hit and run
Randy K. Williams 20, of Naples, was arrested about 6 30 p m Tuesday for reckless driving after striking two parked cars at Boyer and Superior Streets. Williams allegedly damaged vehicles owned by Linda Nichols Sandpoint and Steve Van Rossum Kootenai totaling about 1000 dollars, his van suffering 500 dollars damage. He was jailed in Bonner County and posted 150 dollar bond for release.

Bellevue youths charged with Pend Oreille River cabin burglary
