Beach Benefit Bar-B-Q Nears Sandpoint
Residents and visitors to Sandpoint will meet and play with Sandpoint Lions Club on July 30 for a Beach Benefit Bar-B-Q to raise funds for City Beach improvements. The event runs 1 to 8 p.m. with food by Jim Gantenbein and Leonard Haugse and games including horseshoe pitching bingo tennis and water sports plus a sky diving water jump exhibition by Spokane Sport Parachute Club. Tickets $2.25 adults $1.50 children 12 and under.

Absentee Ballots Now Available for August Primary
Absentee ballots for the August 8 primary are available in Doris L. Kenney county clerk office. Voters away from their precinct on election day may vote at the courthouse Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm, with extended hours on Saturday August 5 from 8 am to 5 pm.
