Rough Fish Control Squoxin will be used soon to eradicate the lower 30 miles of the St Joe River while sparing trout and game fish. About 110 miles of the North Fork Clearwater River above Orofino will be treated before Dworshak Dam closure in August. Squawfish spawners entering Cas? Reservoir tributaries in late June and July face squoxin for the fourth year. 1971 work follows a federal experimental permit with strict 30 parts per billion limits and before and after samples to protect non target species.
