Highway Dept Urges Planning For 4th of July Travel
The Idaho Traffic Safety Commission warns that over the past four years an average of three people die in Idaho during the 4th of July holiday period. With heavy expected traffic, similar figures are likely. The weekend runs from 6 p.m. July 2 to midnight July 5. Plan routes in advance, check the 24 hour road condition report, and avoid frazzled nerves or poor manners to prevent a tragedy. A brief stop and brief exercise can help keep drivers alert.
