Sandpoint 4th of July Celebrations Plan Festive Weekend
Bonner County hosts a weekend of events led by the Sandpoint Lions Club. Activities begin Friday evening with American Legion baseball at Wac Memorial Field and a downtown street dance. Saturday features parade, kids events, motorcycle races, softball, boxing at War Memorial Field, another street dance, and a fireworks display at night. A Sunday Chevy Nova drawing follows cycle races at the Rodeo Grounds.

Three Teachers Honored At Retirement Breakfast
Three long time Bonner County educators were recognized at a retirement breakfast in the Pastime dining room. Honorees Ann Brunsell Mabel Kinney and Frances Fredstrom received gifts from the Bonner County Education Association and a silver tray engraved with years of service from the school district. Jack Jones, superintendent, presented the trays.

Rotary Fetes New Officers at Sandpoint Ceremony
The Sandpoint Rotary Club installed new officers on Friday June 20 in the Pastime Panhandle room. Ray Kincaid was named president Everett Hoffmiester vice president Rev Tom Rodda secretary treasurer and Dale Coffelt sergeant at arms with Judge Dar Dogs Eswelbis immediate past president presiding. Installation was conducted by Bob Simmons of Wieta California.

Fourth of July Golf Tournament at Elks Course
