Two One Car Rollovers Reported No Serious Injuries
Over the weekend police logged two one car rollovers with no serious injuries. A sports car driven by Jack D. Sheneman, 35, of Banff Canada, rolled near the Norway Lodge on U S 95 after losing control. Road conditions were blamed for the crash. A second vehicle overturned 1.5 miles east of Kootenai yesterday, but details were unavailable.

Disaster Aid Offered Here In Bonner County
Federal disaster assistance will be available starting tomorrow January 29 at the Community Hall in Bonner County. Civil Defense Director Bob Cramer announced the program following a national disaster declaration signed by President Nixon last Friday. Representatives from state and federal agencies will be there 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on January 29 February 1 and February 5 to provide food clothing housing medical care legal aid and other relief services.

Idaho fixes big game seasons and starts spring turkey hunt
The Idaho Fish and Game Commission set opening dates for big game seasons this fall and launched the state’s first spring turkey hunt. Nine days of gobbler hunting run in management units 11 13 14 18 19A 22 23 and 39 beginning May 4. Four elk units switch to controlled hunting with public drawing permits. Two new controlled moose hunts added and three old ones dropped. Two new antelope hunts introduced and a bighorn sheep hunt in Owyhee County approved.

Woman Charged After Shooting At Husband In Careywood
Debra May Channel 39 was arrested by Bonner County deputies for assault with intent to commit murder after a shooting at her home. Her husband Bobbie Gene Channel was unharmed while deputies found damaged grounds and a car windshield struck by a 4-10 shotgun.
