Sandpoint hosted the Annual Tri-Board Installation Banquet for the Bonner Boundary Coeur dAlene and Shoshone Boards of Realtors at the Elks Club Saturday evening. Guest speaker Terry McMahon urged education as key to progress while overseeing officer installations and the Three Lakes Chapter inauguration of the Womens Council of the NRA EB. Dancing followed with the Moonlighters providing music and Don Kerby as master of ceremonies.

Radio Auction Planned Tonight at Sandpoint Elks Club
The 1971 March of Dimes Radio Auction runs January 25 26 27 at the Sandpoint Elks Club. Beta Sigma Phi volunteers and Bonner County merchants donate items while KSPT provides radio coverage and auctioneers Kenneth Crandell and Jack Popplewell with Seth Batt assisting. Proceeds support the March of Dimes in Bonner County.

Rivers Trial Starts Today in Coeur d'Alene
Harold Sonny Rivers faces a four day trial in District Court Coeur d Alene for the Pend Oreille Sports Shop burglary in Sandpoint March 1970. The previous Sandpoint jury was mistried after pretrial knowledge from a March 26 News Bulletin photo. Ed Albromeit, owner of the shop, died of a heart attack after the burglary.
