Sandpoint Mayor Names Mary Bonar to Planning Commission
Mayor Les Brown announced the appointment of Mrs. Mary Charles Bonar to the Planning and Zoning Commission seat left by Hazel Hall. Bonar, a Sandpoint native and Mills College graduate, said she is delighted to serve the community as Council approval is required. She has three children: Hoyt 8, Jim 6, and John 3.

No People In Real Danger From Flooding
Idaho Senate Transportation Committee heard there were no people in real danger in North Idaho flood zones though many remained stranded. Five National Guard helicopters from Boise and two from Fairchild AFB were dispatched to evacuate those stranded while radio equipment was shipped to disaster areas to improve communications.
