Soviet scientist reports active volcano on the moon
Nikolai Kozyrev notified the Soviet Committee for Inventions and Discoveries that an active volcano exists on the moon in Aristrarchun Crater. He cited glowing rocks seen in 1955 and a 1958 spectrogram of volcanic gas, comparing it with Soviet Far East volcanoes to confirm the finding.
