Timber Sales Announced Across Idaho Forest Districts

Multiple timber sales announced for February 22 1977 and February 18 1977 include Upper Mann Creek northeast of Clarkia sold to Potlatch Corporation for 46604.80 with 68 MBF of mixed species. Upper Sand Creek north of Sandpoint sold to Pack River Lumber Company for 52892.70 with 606 MBF. Maybird Cedar sales south and north of Pinehurst sold to Stan Patterson Jerome Kiebert and others. Chipmunk Rapids sale near Coeur d Alene sealed bid with Brand-S Corporation rising to 248418.80 on 3810 M board feet. Major species include white pine ponderosa pine grand fir and hemlock alpine fir with minor volumes.

Schweitzer Valley Dwellers 4H Club Plans Horse Show

The Schweitzer Valley Dwellers 4H Club met at the high school on February 17 to read the Constitution, discuss a worming and shot clinic with local veterinarians, and plan a horse show. Chairmen were elected for committees, a meeting is set for February 26 at 1 00 p m at the fairgrounds, and members should bring horses halters and riding gear. The next general meeting is March 3 at 7 30 p m in room 4 of the senior high. Dues are due by April 1.

Hotel Residents Ordered To Move

About 70 residents of the Milner Hotel in Spokane were told to vacate by Monday or face eviction. Spokane Legal Services said it would seek a court to halt the action, while the attorney general noted owners may be within rights to issue short notice. Many residents are elderly or disabled and on fixed incomes as workmen began clearing unoccupied rooms.

Harold C Method, 73, died Monday at Bonner General Hospital. Born February 8, 1904 in Decatur Nebraska he married Ruth Fetty in 1927. He moved from Downey California to Bonner County in 1947 to run a dairy farm and later lived in Sandpoint. Memorial services set for February 25 at United Methodist Church with interment at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Memorials to Sandpoint United Methodist Church or American Dialectical Association.

Mary Weinrich died at Bonner General Hospital on February 23. She was born January 14, 1898 in Nebraska and married Hugh Weinrich in Thompson Falls Montana on August 4 1944. They moved to Montana 1910 then Idaho 1918 where he lived as a carpenter at Fairchild Air Force Base retiring in 196. Tractor accident claims life near Garden Valley Idaho

Frederick W Jockens, 71, died when the tractor he used to push a man from his property eight miles east of Garden Valley rolled over an embankment. Deputies say he failed to shift the tractor into forward gear after pushing a load of snow, causing it to overturn and crush him.
