Dynamite Cache Being Disposed Near Clark Fork Mine

Three men from Fort Douglas Utah 62nd Ox Detachment arrived in Sandpoint to dispose of dynamite found in an abandoned mine near Clark Fork. Two cases and sacks of sodium nitrate were located by E M Shull at the old Lawrence Mine. Dynamite rated 75 percent had leaked onto the floor. officials expect removal by Army detail Joel Verhaal Michael Holland and Stewart Johnson.

VFW Denies Posse Use Of Meeting Hall

The Sandpoint VFW post voted to deny use of its Hall at 1105 Lake Street for meetings of the Bonner County Sheriff's Posse Comitatus. Post Commander Gene Saunders declined comment on the vote but confirmed the action. The Posse Comitatus met in the Hall on February 14 and February 21.
