Murder Verdict Won by Jury in Idaho Officer Slaying
A first District Court jury in Walace Idaho found Dixon Curley guilty of first degree murder in the August shooting death of Osburn Police Officer Charles Ashton 23, who died when a rifle bullet hit his neck after stopping a truck driver on Interstate 90. Kootenai County deputies and search teams from three counties hunt for Linda Bell 29 of Spokane and her mother Charlene Mullin 49 of Georgia after they failed to return from a sightseeing trip to the Coeur d'Alene National Forest. The women left Spokane Wednesday morning in a 1968 green Ford Mustang.
