Rain-Making Tower Demonstrates Rainfall Experiments Near Pullman
Washington State University engineers operate a 351 foot tower on the Palouse highway to study rainfall runoff in the Agricultural Research Service Soil Erosion Laboratory. Dr. Donald Bender leads a project funded by the Washington Water Research Center and ARS. Land Sale Announced in Sandpoint by Public Lands
The Department of Public Lands in Sandpoint announced Don Lund and Michael Plaster as successful bidders in the E Hope Salvage Sale S-3. The sale covered parts of SESW and 5 1/2 SE Sec 36 Twn 57N Ree 1E, held February 3 at 10 a.m. in Sandpoint. District Forester William Petzak acted as selling agent. There were three bidders, with a total value of 3300.50 dollars and volume of 130 MBF.
