The Sandpoint Co-op Gas and Supply Co. reported an 11.07 percent net savings for the year at its annual meeting. Sales to patrons reached 2,472,533.29 with costs of goods at 1,898,419.06 for a gross margin of 574,114.23 and after expenses and patronage refunds a net savings of 273,559.28. Total assets stood at 1,458,287.33 with equal liabilities and equities. directors elected were Walt Eldred John Macks and Ardley Burt.

The measure would have protected 100 miles of the Snake River, blocked a proposed hydroelectric dam at the Asotin site, and repealed federal dam authorization. Kokanee Spawning Up as IFG Plans 1 Million Eggs
Idaho Fish and Game biologists report higher kokanee spawning on Lake Pend Oreille this year and plan to hatch about 1 million eggs. Eggs collected from Sullivan Springs will be raised in hatcheries at Clark Fork and Sandpoint with most fry released locally next spring and about 200000 sent to Salmon Falls Creek in south Idaho.
