Bonner County Fair Board Plans Food Service Building
Bonner County Fair Board held a special meeting Wednesday with church groups to discuss food booth placement at the new fairgrounds. Raynold D. Davis said a floor plan for the Food Service Building was shown to church representatives for study and recommendations. A second church meeting is set for January 20 to submit space recommendations. The Fair Board will provide plumbing and electricity. an architect is being sought to draft blueprints for construction this spring. The next regular meeting is January 18.

Traffic Toll Reaches 313
LEWISTON Idaho 1970 traffic toll stood at 313 today eight more than the prior year. State Police said Clara A Simmons 74 Lewiston died early Wednesday in a one car crash 11 miles south of Lewiston on Steuben county roads Cayetano area. Her car went off the road 100 feet down an embankment to a canyon and rolled several times.

Grant Awarded To Sewer District In Idaho
Idaho receives the first EPA grant as Rep James A McClure announces a $68,320 award to the Kootenai Ponderay Water and Sewer District. Funds cover an interceptor sewer three lift stations and an aerated lagoon with chlorination facilities. EPA estimates total project cost at $142,000.

Icy Road Two-Car Crash West of Sandpoint
Bonner County deputies report a two car collision two miles west of Sandpoint on Pine Street Loop Road due to icy conditions. Drivers Fran E. Watson 19 and Kenneth L. Johnson 49 both of Sandpoint had no injuries or citations. the crash occurred on a snow and ice covered curve.
