Logging Truck and Car Collide on U S Highway 2 in Idaho
A Louisiana Pacific logging truck and a passenger car collided on U S Highway 2 between Sandpoint and Priest River around 5 53 p m. The truck driver was unharmed while the car driver may have a broken leg with minor injuries. Idaho State Patrol called an ambulance and two wreckers assisted in removing the damaged vehicles.

Larry Benton, administrator at Community Hospital in Bonners Ferry, will move to Sandpoint next month to become administrator at Bonner General Hospital replacing Curt McEwan who will retire. Idaho Public Utilities Commission approved a $58 million annual rate increase for Washington Water Power, to start December 16. The hike passes higher wholesale gas costs to customers, adding about 3 percent to Bonner County bills and increasing the average residential bill by roughly $9.34 from $44.84.
