Christmas Preparations Light Up Sandpoint Town
Downtown Sandpoint glows with holiday lights and a decorated Community Hall Santa tree. Santa Claus arrives by horse drawn sleigh Saturday to meet area children, with 11 a.m. conferences and a downtown sleigh tour to follow. Local stores extend evening hours from Dec 10, and 1,400 free Kiddie Show tickets will be handed out Dec 12–13 at Panida Theater for two children shows on Dec 13 at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Children must be accompanied to collect tickets.

Sandpoint Bulldogs to receive new wrestling mat and gear
Planned presentation Tuesday at SHS gym will hand over a $2,400 wrestling mat and equipment including regulation mat headgear shirts and warmups. VFW Post 2453 and Auxiliary raised most funds with a banquet by Job's Daughters last summer. Sandpoint community contributions followed. Chuck Schoonover will accept for the school.
